Management Team

Bart Foster – CEO & Founder

Bart Foster is a proven entrepreneur with more than 15 years of international sales and marketing experience in the consumer products and healthcare industries. In 2007, Foster founded SoloHealth, a leader in self-service consumer healthcare that utilizes innovative technology to provide interactive healthcare solutions that empower consumers to take their health into their own hands.

The company's first offering was the award-winning EyeSite® vision kiosk, which has been used by nearly one million Americans in retail outlets across the country. Awarded a National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant in May of 2010, SoloHealth has pioneered technology for a next-generation health and wellness platform that will provide a more robust and comprehensive health assessment.

Foster has been named one of the top five CEO's to watch in 2010 by Self-Service World and "Entrepreneur of the Year" in 2006 for developing the EyeSite kiosk. He has also been featured on CNBC and Forbes.com and he serves on the Board of Directors of Prevent Blindness Georgia. Prior to founding SoloHealth, Foster worked at CIBA VISION, the Eye Care division of Novartis AG. In this capacity, he held a variety of leadership roles in sales, marketing and management both in the U.S. and Europe. Prior to CIBA VISION, he was director of sales for Peachtree Network, a successful Internet start-up based in Montreal, Canada. While there, he completed an IPO on the Canadian Venture Exchange. Foster began his career with Kellogg's in consumer marketing and sales.

Foster holds a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Florida and an MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix. Foster resides in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife and two children.

Stephen Kendig – Chief Operating Officer

Stephen Kendig has a successful track record of leading new product development initiatives from ideation through commercialization. His teams have spanned global marketing, supply chain, manufacturing, R&D engineering, and market research, as well as clinical, regulatory and legal divisions. Prior to SoloHealth, Mr. Kendig was employed by CIBA VISION, a Novartis Company. During his last seven years at CIBA VISION, he held various R&D positions of increasing responsibility, including research, process engineering, new product development and global project management. Within this leadership role, he managed a new product portfolio of over $200 MM; led the recent European launch of AIR OPTIX ™ contact lenses for Astigmatism and global launch of Air Optix Aqua; transferred five new product initiatives from the R&D labs to multi-million unit, >100 MM units/annum, production; and expanded current production capacities. While at CIBA VISION, he filed five patent disclosures and was awarded the 2006 executive award.

Stephen has a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He received his master’s degree in business administration from Georgia State University, where he was the recipient of the Norman R. Harbaugh Scholastic Achievement Award, presented to one MBA student who demonstrates the greatest potential for leadership.

Eric Hoell – Vice President of Product Development

Eric Hoell is SoloHealth’s Senior Director of Research and Development. Eric has over 22 years of experience and a successful track record of leading development teams to collaborate with sales, marketing, and other constituents to deliver successful consumer applications. At SoloHealth, he guides the company’s software team through the rapid implementation of its next generation of self-service kiosk hardware and software. Prior to joining SoloHealth, Eric spent seventeen years with NCR, one of the nation’s leading technology companies. Within NCR’s Retail division, Eric spent several years leading the software development of grocery store and quick service applications. His most recent role with NCR was Vice President of R&D within NCR’s subsidiary, Compris Technologies. At Compris Technologies, Eric led a variety of application development, core infrastructure, QA, Professional Services, and other teams to develop many of NCR's Customer-Facing and Point of Service applications. Eric's experience in developing self-service, point of sale, and back office applications spans all aspects of the software development lifecycle. Eric has a proven record of successfully leading the development of complex solutions, custom development, quality assurance, deployment and installation, and support organizations. In addition to Eric’s product development experience, Eric spent several years at Horizon Software as the Vice President of Customer Service. At Horizon Software, Eric successfully managed the customer service team, field implementation, account managers, and worked to improve communications between the service and development organizations.

Eric holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Hofstra University.

Kevin Lavery, M.D. – Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Lavery is an ophthalmologist with TLC Eyecare and Laser Centers of Michigan where he is medical director. TLC has developed a statewide referral based network and is one of the largest providers of eye care services in the Midwest with 14 locations. Dr. Lavery was the development director and founding chairman for Blake Woods Medical Park Surgery Center, the largest provider of cataract surgery in the State. He is a consultant to several ophthalmic companies and has been an FDA investigator for many new Intra-ocular lens designs.

Dr. Lavery has a teaching appointment at Kresge Eye Institute, Wayne State University and is a Visiting Faculty with ORBIS International where he has taught eye surgery around the world. Currently Dr. Lavery is chairman of the board to Jackson County Community Foundation and past chairman of the Jackson Fitness Council, the Department of Surgery at Doctor’s Hospital, and on the board of the YMCA

Chad Terry – Chief Financial Officer

Chad Terry brings over 20 years of financial management, public accounting, and internal audit experience to the Chief Financial Officer role. Mr. Terry is responsible for managing the financial risks of the Company in addition to financial planning and accounting. Mr. Terry began his career in public accounting at Faucett Taylor and Associates performing financial statement audits and consulting for companies in a variety of industries including real estate, technology, manufacturing and financial investments. Mr. Terry held the CFO position at Alogent Corporation where he helped lead a financial turnaround of the company and ultimately to a successful acquisition. Chad has worked as CFO in multiple other technology companies where he has guided the companies to increased revenue and profit and he has also been instrumental in raising rounds of venture capital.

Chad received his MBA from the University of Georgia, earned a BBA from Kennesaw State University, and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant.
